SPI Header Programming

We offer an SPI Header Programming service for Desktop Motherboards that have an SPI Header fitted. Standard cost is £19.99 which includes return postage at £7.50 UK ONLY. Postage for other locations may be more expensive and it may be cheaper to buy a programmed part and fit it yourself

We have devoted in house programmers that can be used to reprogram these motherboards using the SPI header if your board has one.

Some economy motherboards do not have the SPI header fitted and therefore cannot be reprogrammed in this fashion. Some Makers also use non standard SPI headers

SPI programming without SPI Header

Other options are available if you have no SPI header fitted, if we have to lift the EEPROM for reprogramming then the cost is £25.99 which includes return postage.

Customers outside the United Kingdom

If you live abroad and have a soldered SPI serial flash EEPROM in need of programming, then the cheapest option is to purchase a programmed part and have it fitted by your local electronics workshop. Depending on your location, shipping of mainboard's can be expensive.

PDIP SPI Serial Flash Programming

PDIP SPI serial flash EEPROM are normally removable and all one has to do is either order a replacement part or send in your old part for programming, parts are normally returned same or next day.

Soldered SOIC SPI Serial flash Programming

Desktop Mainboard's with soldered SPI Serial Flash EEPROM normally have an SPI header fitted which can be used for reprogramming the EEPROM in place on the mainboard. If your board does have an SPI header then turn around is same or next day.

Economy Mainboard's, and laptops do not have the header fitted and in some cases we would need to lift the EEPROM for reprogramming. You may like to try fitting the eeprom yourself, but I do not recommend this unless you have extensive soldering experience.

I am able to reprogram most mainboards with an SPI header onboard. Currently HP, Compaq, Asus, DFI Mainboards can be programmed using the SPI Header
