Preflashed Acer BIOS Chips-EEPROM
Preflashed EEPROM are available for most acer PC's and Laptops. In most cases we are able to provide a pre flashed programmed replacement BIOS chip for Acer machines.
Like most other makers Acer are turning towards SPI Serial flash EEPROM as a BIOS/CMOS part for new Laptops and PCs.
Acer CMOS Reference
You can reference the cmos type or suitable BIOS Chip part number for any Acer machine that uses a Phoenix BIOS by looking at either the platform.bin file or the .wph file in a hex veiwer.
Acer BIOS Chip Replacement
If you need a replacement BIOS chip for an Acer machine you can buy Programmed EEPROMs using the buttons below. Some Acer machines have soldered BIOS chips and are not easily replaced.

Generally though I do not have any problems with Acer machines and can usually supply a replacement BIOS chip if needed. The information from the label on the BIOS chip very often gives clues as to which bios is needed. All Acer recovery options should have been tried before sending your Acer desktop or laptop to us for repair. Using the Soldered BIOS Repair service should be a last resort with any Acer machine |
