Sony BIOS Chip Reference

SONY seem to provide good support for their customers in most instances. Some files are available for immediate download from their web site.

Repair attempts rely totally on the integrity of the BIOS files supplied by Sony. If you have your BIOS backed up then we can probably help with sony machines.

However Modern OEM machines can be difficult to repair by design. If the maker is unwilling to supply complete useable ROM files then you may have difficulty restoring some modern Sony machines.

Sony BIOS Chip Replacement

We can help with some earlier Sony machines. Later machines however may need to be returned to the maker for repair, due to enhanced security measures built into some makers Laptops.

Depending on which machine you have I may or may not be able to help you. If you have backed up your rom file then I can certainly help if only by preparing another EEPROM for your machine.

In all most cases you have to download the traditional DOS update file and send it to me as you may be asked for your machines serial number before you will be allowed to download the required updates.
