MSI SPI Serial Flash
MSI are using the new SPI serial flash EEPROMs on some of their new motherboards. We had our first example of one of these boards in for programming very recently. The MSI MS-7280 Ver: 1.0, the board uses an 8 pin SOIC EEPROM.
These boards can be programmed using the ISP Header located near the CMOS or BIOS chip. Some economy boards do not have an ISP header needed to use the BBF device

We are able to repair the Mega Book S270 (MS-1013) BIOS normally a socket would have to be fitted, and a new programmed replacement BIOS Chip. This Laptop is also sold by other OEM makers under their own brand names. Gericom also distribute this machine.
